
Dunkirk, MD — One person was flown out from an accident at Route 4 and Chaney Road in Dunkirk on the afternoon of Friday, February 6. Several vehicles were involved but it is believed only one person, the driver of one of the cars, was injured.
The injured person was trapped in the car and had to be extricated from the car and flown to a hospital by a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter.
According to witnesses, the accident started on the northbound side of Route 4 but ended up in the southbound lane, causing the southbound lane to be closed for a time.
The accident was called in to emergency responders at approximately 3:16 p.m.
