Thursday evening Chopticon varsity Lacrosse team visited the Great Mills Hornets.  The Braves came in with a 4-1 conference record.  Great Mills looked ready for the Braves as James Hofmeister scored the first goal of the game in under a minute.  Chopticon would come back over the next few minutes and move ahead 2-1, with goals from Miesner Devin and Chris Thompson.  Calvin Brien would bring Great Mills back even at 2-2 a short time later.  The first quarter would continue to be fast paced with Chopticon taking a 5-3 lead by the end.  The second quarter would not look as good for the Hornets as Chopticon would end the half with a 9-4 lead.  Even with Calvin Brien leading the scoring for Great Mills with 4 goals, Great Mills could not compete with the 6 goals Travis Vines would score throughout the game.  Chopticon’s Miesner Devin added 3 goals, Chris Thompson and Chas Guy contributed with 2 goals each, and TJ Shomper would add 1 goal.  For Great Mills James Hofmeister, Tyler Duncan, Douglas Clarke, and Charles Haliscak all added 1 goal apiece, for a 14-8 win for the Chopticon Braves.
