Prince Frederick, MD – For the 63rd straight year, one of Calvert Countyโ€™s oldest churches gave the community an opportunity to savor the sanity and sacredness of the Christmas season. St. Paulโ€™s Episcopal Church in Prince Frederick traditionally holds its Christmas bazaar the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving. Children and adults had a chance to visit with Santa Claus, peruse a roomful of attic treasures which were on sale and amazingly low prices and purchase beautiful handmade items crafted by talented parishioners.

Additionally, the churchโ€™s kitchen staff prepared meals for the hungry bazaar-goersโ€”pan-fried crab cakes and ham, served with several side dishes plus dessert.

St. Paulโ€™s Episcopal Church dates back to 1841. The chapel captures the essence of a 19th-century Christian house of worship. Adding to the atmosphere is a pipe organ which the church obtained through a highly successful fundraising campaign several years ago. Susan Yoe, St. Paulโ€™s organist and choir director, gave attendees a demonstration of her playing skills, rendering several Classical devotional compositions.

The annual Christmas Bazaar is St. Paulโ€™s largest yearly fundraiser.
