Both Calvert and St. Mary’s County Schools will be CLOSED for Tuesday, Dec. 22
SHA is currently utilizing 327 people with 301 pieces of equipment and 135 hired trucks. MDTA is utilizing 14 people with 15 pieces of equipment.
Road Conditions: Crews are out working on ramps, merge areas and any icy spots. Air temperatures and surface temperatures are around freezing or a little below.
College of Southern Maryland Campuses will Open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22
Quantico Marine Base – VA – Code Blue, opens at 10 a.m. with Unscheduled leave
St. Mary’s County
St. Mary’s County Senior Activity Centers and Ripple Center are open today; no transportation to the Centers will be available today due to the conditions of the secondary roads. Transportation is also not available today for SSTAP clients. Meals On Wheels will not be delivered; recipients should use emergency meals which have previously been provided to them. Meal delivery of both daily and frozen will resume on Monday, December 28, weather permitting.
Charles County
Please be advised on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 The Charles County Government will open 2 hours late.
Charles County Circut Court will be opening 2 hrs late.
Charles County District Court will be opening at 10 a.m.
Charles County Yard Waste Service Suspended
Due to the recent extreme weather, Charles County’s yard waste service will
be suspended this week. The service will resume next week, weather permitting.
