At 6 p.m. June 7, TFC J. Linger of the Leonardtown trooper barrack stopped a vehicle on Morganza Turner Road at Laurel Grove Road, Morganza, for driving on the wrong side of the road.
A check through MVA revealed the driver, Steven Roger Jerome Jr., 19, of Leonardtown, was suspended. Jerome was placed under arrest and a search conducted.
Located in his pants pocket was a straw containing cocaine. He was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond hearing.
