WALDORF, Md. – On June 18, 1998, the body of a deceased woman was located in an overgrown area off of Irving Road in Bel Alton. The woman, whose identity was unknown, was found to be the victim of a homicide. Your assistance can help us bring justice to the victim and her family.

The Charles County Sheriffโ€™s Office has worked with numerous agencies throughout the country; however, her identity remains unknown. The victim’s fingerprints have been run through the FBI and other fingerprint databases with negative results.

A facial reconstruction was completed in 2005 and distributed in hopes to identify the victim. DNA analysis and other scientific testing using the latest technology have been pursued but the victim remains unidentified and listed as โ€œJane Doe.โ€
