Leonardtown, MD – A young lady who attends Leonardtown High School decided her senior project would be focused on helping the community. Her innovative project with support from the Young Bucks at Elks Lodge #2092 attracted tremendous support. She collected donated clothes for prom night for those in the community who have difficulty with the high cost of gowns
Regan Walker initiated and spearheaded this effort raising thousands of dollars and providing beautiful clothes for the community proms. The money raised was donated to St. Mary’s Special Olympics for new programs and adaptive equipment. St. Mary’s County Commissioner Mike Hewitt presented Regan with a special commendation in recognizing for her diligence hard work and support for the community.
