Leonardtown, MD – St. Mary’s County Commissioners’ President Randy Guy [R] announced during the board’s Tuesday, July 21 meeting that he has been diagnosed with cancer.
Guy, who is in his first term as commissioner, said the cancer is a Hodgkin’s type lymphoma. The board president has indicated he has no plans to step down from his post due to the diagnosis.
Guy told The BayNet Wednesday, July 22 that his physicians believe his cancer is curable and expects a full recovery. Guy has asked his constituents to pray for him.
