Leonardtown, MD โ€“ To recognize the value Nursing Homes provide to county citizens, the Commissioners of St. Maryโ€™s County has proclaimed National Nursing Home Week in the county. This follows the official observation of National Nursing Home Week May 14 -20.

โ€œNot-for-profit facilities and services for the aging in St. Maryโ€™s County provide skilled and compassionate care and services for older Americans,โ€ said Commissioner President Randy Guy.

โ€œThis care and service render life more meaningful, dignified and joyful for the elderly. St. Maryโ€™s County recognizes the quality, service, and dedication of those who provide care for the elderly through such facilities and services.โ€

The St. Maryโ€™s Nursing Center, a not-for-profit organization serving the elderly in St. Maryโ€™s County, has recognized the theme, โ€œThe Spirit of Americaโ€ during the week.
In formally recognizing National Nursing Home Week, the commissioners encourage all citizens to join them in expressing their sincere appreciation for the critical service they provide
