At 1 a.m. Dec. 3, Trooper Chirichella clocked a vehicle traveling 101 mph on Rt. 231 in Prince Frederick.
After advising Calvert Control, TPR Chirichella pursued the vehicle and was assisted by Deputy Brown, CCSO.
They were unable to locate the vehicle at that time. A short time later, Deputy Brown observed the vehicle leaving the parking area of the College of Southern MD.
He initiated a traffic stop on S/B Rt. 2/4 at Old Field Ln., Prince Frederick. TPR Chirichella responded to the scene.
DFC Aurich and K-9 Bean, CCSO, also responded to the area, and a CDS scan was conducted.
After alerting on the vehicle, a search was conducted. A baggie of suspected marijuana (20.9 gms.) and 40 jeweler baggies were located in the vehicle.
Arrested at that time, for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and several traffic citations, was Wayne Aubrey Jones, 39, of Lusby. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
