Dep. Vladimir Bortchevsky responded to Rousby Hall Road and Sharon Drive in Lusby on June 28 at one minute after midnight in response to a call that a vehicle was stuck in the grass.ย 

Dep. Bortchevsky discovered a 2005 Ford F250 van with the rear tires spinning and 100 feet of tire ruts in the grass behind it.ย ย 

Making contact with the driver, later identified as James M. Schooley, 33, of Lusby, he immediately detected a strong odor of alcohol.ย 

After failing field sobriety checks, Schooley was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, destruction of property and driving on a revoked license.ย 

He was transported to the detention center before being seen by the District Court Commissioner.
