Wayne J. Biscoe

Charlotte Hall, MD— In February 2016, St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office Vice/Narcotics undercover detectives began conversing with Wayne Jerome Biscoe, 47 of Valley Lee, regarding the sale of several firearms. The negotiations between the two were a specific sum of money for an AK 47 semi-automatic rifle (which is a regulated firearm) and two handguns.

On Feb.16, the St.Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office undercover detectives arranged a meeting at a predetermined location in Charlotte Hall, MD.ย

When Biscoe met the officer, “he (Briscoe) provided the officer with three regulated firearms and associated ammunition in the exchange for U.S. Currency. The three firearms included an AK47 Semiautomatic rifle and two Taurus .357 Magnum Revolvers.”

“Biscoe is prohibited from possessing ammunition since he (Biscoe) was convicted of possession with intent to distribute cocaine in 1996 in St.Mary’s County,” according to charging documents.ย

Shortly after meeting with the officer and receiving U.S. Currency in exchange for the three firearms, “Biscoe was stopped and detained while operating his GMC truck,” according to charging documents.ย

Biscoe subsequently acknowledged that selling and transferring the regulated firearms without following the proper statewide protocol was illegal.ย

Biscoe was later transportedย to the St.Mary’s County Detention Center for processing. Biscoe was charged with handgun in a vehicle, illegal possession of ammo, and unlawful sale of a regulated firearm.ย

Biscoe has a scheduled court date for March 17 at the St.Mary’s County District Court. Biscoe faces a maximum jail sentence of nine years and or a maximum fine of $13,500.ย

The investigating officer who prepared the charging documents used in this case was Dfc.Kevin Meyer of the St.Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.ย
