Chesapeake Beach, MD โ€“ Native Marylander Chris Lucas and his professional partner Preston Brust have been all over America in 2015. The duo, who call themselves and their band LoCash, gave a receptive audience on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay a solid three-hour performance Thursday, Sept. 17. LoCash was the latest headliner in the Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spaโ€™s 2015 Rock the Dock series.

Lucas and Brust have proven to be prolific songwriters. Nationally known stars like Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Joe Nichols have recorded their tunes. LoCash has also pleased the ears of radio listeners with their recordings of โ€œI Love This Life,โ€ โ€œHere Comes Summer,โ€ โ€œKeep in Mindโ€ and โ€œThe Best Seat in the House.โ€

As for live performances, LoCash has performed on the stage of the Grand Ole Opryโ€”Brust proposed to his now-wife Kristen White during the groupโ€™s Aug. 29 performance at the sacred venueโ€”as well as the Bama Jam Music Fest.

In addition to their hits, the group also made bay waves Sept. 17 doing rock standards like ZZ Topโ€™s โ€œTushโ€ and Def Leppardโ€™s โ€œPour Some Sugar on Me.โ€ They also broke out into Christopher Crossโ€™ early 1980s Grammy winner โ€œSailing.โ€

In between songs, the duo engaged in banterโ€”a whole lot of banter! It was all good, clean fun and was enjoyed by the audience clustered near the resortโ€™s iconic bandshell.

LoCash wonโ€™t be taking a spa break in Chesapeake Beach, however. The group is headed to York, PA for the annual York Fair. Later in the month theyโ€™ll take the tour to Florida for several stops.

The 2015 Rock the Dock season will be wrapping up shortly. On Sept. 24, budding, beautiful country singerโ€”and self-proclaimed fitness fanaticโ€”Lyndsey Highlander will be performing at the bandshell.
