After more than eight years of dedicated service to the citizens of St. Mary’s County, Mr. George G. Forrest, County Administrator, has decided to retire from St. Mary’s County Government.
Mr. Forrest’s retirement will be effective January 31, 2007.
The Board of County Commissioners will begin a nation-wide search for candidates to fill this important position. In the interim, Mr. John Savich will assume the duties of County Administrator, while continuing to fill his responsibilities as Director of Economic and Community Development.
