On February 7, deputies responded to the Peg Road Apartments in Lexington Park, for a report of a domestic assault in progress.
Upon arrival deputies found Gina Marie Rogers, 47 of Lexington Park, outside in the snow. Rogers reported she had been assaulted by Thomas Matthew Quinn, 44 of no fixed address. Rogers had visible signs of injury. Rogers stated Quinn had fled into the near by woods. Deputies followed foot prints in the snow and located Quinn in the adjacent field.
Rogers was told he was under arrest for assault. Rogers refused to place his hands behind his back to be handcuffed. After a brief struggle Quinn was handcuffed.
Further investigation revealed Rogers and Quinn were engaged in a verbal dispute which escalated into a physical assault. Quinn reported to deputies that Rogers struck him in the face with a glass. Quinn also displayed visible signs of injury.
Roger was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
Quinn was charged with second-degree assault and resisting arrest.
