Cody Puckett delivered a walk-off, RBI double in the bottom of the 12th to complete the Long Island Ducks comeback over the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs with a 3-2 victory. The loss for Southern Maryland is the first in which they had a lead entering the 9th inning.

After being unable to hold a 2-0 lead in the late innings, the game went into the extras with both teams unable to break the tie until the 12th. Joash Brodin reached on a one-out single and moved to second on a single by Randy Ruiz. That set the stage for Puckettโ€™s game-winning double to give the Ducks their third straight win in this series.

In his first attempt to tie the all-time saves mark in the Atlantic League, Jim-Ed Warden blew the save in the bottom of the 9th. Jan Vazquez led off the bottom of the 9th with a solo home run off of Warden, his first of the season.

Southern Maryland was able to break the scoreless tie with a run in the top of the 5th. With one out and runners on the corner, Allan de San Miguel doubled home Jake Opitz to give the Crabs a 1-0 lead.

In the 6th, Opitz hit a two-out, solo home run to double the lead to 2-0. The home run was his third of the season and he finished the game 3-for-5.

Long Island cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the 6th courtesy of an Adam Bailey RBI single that scored Joash Brodin.
