CALLAWAY, MD – A single-vehicle crash occurred Saturday evening, March 14 on Route 5 in Callaway, sources reported. The accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m.
Witnesses report the driver of a pickup truck was travelling northbound on Route 5 in Callaway when the driver began drifting across the southbound lanes where he continued into a grassy embankment, striking a utility pole and rolling his vehicle several times before it came to a rest on its side.
Responders called for a helicopter for transporting the injured, however, all emergency choppers were down due to the weather.
At this time no further information is available as to the cause of this crash.
