ST. LEONARD, Md. – On Feb. 23 at 3:01 p.m., homeowners discovered and reported a kitchen fire in their home located on the 5000 block of Long View Beach Road in St. Leonard. 40 firefighters led by the St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department arrived to the two-story house fire and had the scene under control in 15 minutes.
Further investigation revealed the fire was the result of the stove top being on and unattended, which ignited material sitting on the cook-top resulting in the kitchen fire. The overall cost of damage is estimated to be $35,000. Two adults and one dog were displaced as a result of the fire and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
St Leonard Maryland – Feb. 24 At around 3:17 pm First Responders were dispatched to the 5200 block of Long Beach Road to investigate a house fire. Units arrived on the scene of a two story split foyer single family with smoke showing. The fire was located in the attic. Crews are getting a line on a fire in the attic.
