St. Mary’s County, MD —ย The St. Maryโs County Crime Solvers Board is seeking donations for a reward fund for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons responsible for the deaths of two dogs.
The BayNet.com told you back on July 15 that two large Black Labrador Retrievers had been beheaded and discarded in the area of Parlett Morgan Road on July 14.
A Sheriffโs Deputy responded to the 40400-block of Parlett Morgan Road in Mechanicsville, where the two dead dogs were found in a wooded area.
โThe dogs were determined to be Black Labrador Retrievers, both weighing over 80 pounds,โ the report read in part. โThe dogs had been decapitated and discarded in the wooded area.โ
It was determined by animal control that the dogs had been discarded within the last 48 hours.
The St. Maryโs County Sheriffโs Officeโs Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating the incident and Sheriff Tim Cameron said he wants this horrific case solved.
Currently, the reward fund stands at more than $2000. It’s hoped that a larger reward fund could convince anyone with information to come forward.
