On February 27, 2012 detectives with the St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Special Victims Unit, conducted an investigation regarding alleged sex crimes committed by Cary Michael Anderson, age 32, of Dameron, Maryland over the past two years. As a result of the investigation it was revealed Anderson had engaged in illegal sexual activity with two female minors, ages eleven and fifteen at the time of the incidents. The victims were not related to Anderson.
On March 20, 2012 detectives charged Anderson with 1 count of Second Degree Rape, 2 counts of Second Degree Sex Offense, 7 counts of Third Degree Sex Offense and 1 count of Continuing Course of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor.
Anderson is currently being held in the St. Mary’s County Detention Center under no bond.
