Antwon James Sockwell

Waldorf, MD – On Aug. 25, detectives assigned to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) arrested Antwon James Sockwell, 26 of Washington, DC, in connection with a citizen armed robbery that occurred July 22 in the area of St. Marks Drive and Huntington Woods Drive in Waldorf.

During the robbery, Sockwell allegedly approached two male victims, displayed a handgun, assaulted the victims, and stole their property.ย 

Sockwell was developed as a suspect and an arrest warrant was obtained. He was located at an address in Washington, DC.

Sockwell was charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault and second-degree assault. According to Maryland Judiciary Case Search, an 18-count indictment was handed down against Sockwell by Charles County Circuit Court. Among the charges are two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, four counts of firearm use in a felony violent crime and theft charges.
