A Sunday morning police pursuit that began in Waldorf ended in a crash in Marlow Heights.
The chase began at 2 a.m. when Charles County patrol officer M. Clark attempted to stop a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria displaying fraudulent and expired Washington, D.C. tags. The vehicle was traveling north on Route 301 in Waldorf, and did not stop for the officer, police said.
Clark pursued the vehicle into Prince Georgeโs County and ended the pursuit on Route 5 near the beltway. The suspect vehicle continued on Route 5 and struck another vehicle at the intersection of Auth Road.
The suspect driver, Hosea Antoine Pearson, 21, of Washington, D.C., and one of his passengers, a 19-year-old Washington, D.C. man, sustained serious injuries and were taken to Prince Georgeโs Hospital Center.
Police said that at least two other suspects fled from the suspect vehicle and were not located. The two occupants of the vehicle struck by the suspect were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Prince Georgeโs County Police Department is investigating the crash. The Charles County Sheriffโs Office is investigating the fleeing and eluding that occurred in Charles County. No charges have been filed.
