Deaf dog learning hand signals searches for a family

Prince Frederick, MD – “I am Thor! I am an American Stafford shire terrier, male, one year old and 55 pounds. And I am DEAF. I am currently learning hand signals and I am a quick learner! I also like to watch all that is going on around me. I love to play with other dogs and I like meeting people.”

Calvert Animal Welfare League (CAWL) is looking for a qualified home for this special boy. He has touched a lot of hearts. We rescued him from a shelter in Virginia where he had been seized as part of a cruelty case. We were told he was being kept in a crate outside. Now he is being kept in a loving foster home that wants the best for him. Experience with the breed is a plus and willing to take this special boy and continue with the training is a plus.
