Jacob S. Traas and Candace Nicole Traas-Harrod

Huntingtown, MD— On March 9, Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Deputy T. Mohler conducted a welfare check on a vehicle pulled over on the side of Plum Point Road at Cecil Lane, in Huntingtown.

Mohler pulled behind the vehicle to check the welfare of the individuals within the vehicle. Approaching ย the vehicle, Mohler observedย the engine was not running. The two occupants advised they were fine and the vehicle had run out of gas.

Mohler determined the occupants, Jacob Traas, 30, of Lusby and Candace Traas-Harrod, 32, of St. Leonard, were both in possession of an illegal substance.

Traas and Traas-Harrod were both arrested and charged with CDS administer equipment possession/distribute (syringe) and for possession of a dangerous nonnarcotic drug (Adderall).

Both defendants have a scheduled court date set for June 27 in District Court.ย
