At 1:25 p.m. July 27 Charles County Sheriff’s Officers D. Brady and A. Schwab were on foot patrol in the 20 block of Chinaberry Lane in Indian Head when they observed a male seated in the driver’s seat of a 1991 Cadillac Deville in possession of an alcoholic beverage.
Officers identified him as Antwan Jasper Thompson, 18, of Fort Washington. As officers were obtaining his information he became disorderly and was arrested.
A search of the vehicle subsequent to Thompson’s arrest revealed a loaded handgun under the driver’s seat and a loaded magazine in the glove box.
Thompson was charged with having a handgun in a vehicle, disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful order, disturbing the peace and possession of an alcoholic beverage while under the age of 21.
He was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the district court commissioner.
