Jevonte Tijuan Chase
La Plata, MD – Jevonte Tijuan Chase, 34 of Indian Head, is heading to the Maryland Department of Corrections for four years.
Chase faced sentencing in Charles County Circuit Court Tuesday, March 22 before Judge H. James West in La Plata on distribution of crack cocaine charges.
Defense Attorney Marcus Allen entered the plea on Chase’s behalf Jan. 26.
“You are going along with this sentence,” West asked Chase.
“It took some bargaining,” Allen admitted.
“On count one, distribution of cocaine, the agreed upon sentence is four years with no probation,” West said, adding that Chase’s sentence began Jan. 26.
“This is what you agreed to,” West told Chase. “Instead of parole and probation, you agree to serve the balance of your sentence.”
