When you think of summer, thoughts automatically turn to fun and relaxation. However, another important part of summer is emergency preparedness and safety.
To help that effort, Community Bank of Tri-County is teaming up with the American Red Cross of Southern Maryland for the months of June, July and August. For the third consecutive year, employees who contribute to the American Red Cross will receive a Red Cross pin and be entitled to “casual dress” for the three month period. Community Bank will also match a portion of proceeds raised from this event, which will benefit the American Red Cross Southern Maryland Chapter’s Local Disaster Relief Fund.
“Community Bank has been a part of Southern Maryland since 1950,” says Patrick Pierce, Commercial Lender and American Red Cross Board Member. “We are always looking for ways to give back to the communities in which we live and work.”
“This is a fun way for our employees to give to a good cause,” says Michael Middleton, Community Bank of Tri-County President and CEO. “We are encouraging everyone to Relax for Red Cross and participate in this three month-long event.” The community at large is also encouraged to participate. Donations can be made at any of the Community Bank of Tri-County locations to benefit the Red Cross local disaster relief fund.
Relax for Red Cross is a great way for the Community Bank of Tri-County employees to give to their local Red Cross and reflect on emergency plans. Our local Red Cross answers the call for help through the generosity and support of the citizens of Southern Maryland. Together, we can save a life!
