On July 3, 2011 at approximately 12:45 a.m. police units responded to a report of an attempted armed robbery at the Domino’s Pizza located in Charlotte Hall Maryland. Employees reported they were approached by a white male armed with a dark in color handgun who demanded money. The suspect was unable to obtain any money and fled on foot. A vehicle description was provided and broadcast to other units in the area. Police units later observed the suspect vehicle traveling southbound on Three Notch Road in the area of Loveville Road. The suspect vehicle was stopped.
Detectives from BCI were notified and assumed the investigation which resulted in the arrest of Steven E. Garner, 22 of St. Leonard, Maryland and Robert M. Morris 33, of Huntingtown, Maryland. Garner was subsequently charged with Attempted Armed Robbery and Morris was charged with Attempted Armed Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery. Both were incarcerated in the Detention Center under $10,000 full bond.
