At 1:35 p.m. Jan. 17, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Modell’s Sporting Goods located at 3014 Festival Way in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery.
Investigation revealed a male suspect entered the store and selected a pair of shoes, which an employee brought to the register for him.
When the suspect approached the register a short time later, he brandished a handgun and demanded the shoes. The employee complied and the suspect fled.
The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build. He had dreadlock-styled hair and was wearing a black skull cap and a black Northface jacket.
