At 9:15 p.m. March 17, TFC P. Trossbach of the Leonardtown trooper barrack stopped a vehicle for speeding, 55 mph in a 40 mph zone, on Route 235 north of Buck Hewitt Road in Lexington Park.

Upon contact with the driver, Colin Shayne Madison, 19, of Lexington Park, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected. A probable cause search was conducted on Madison.

Recovered from his pants pocket was a cellophane wrapper containing marijuana.

The two passengers were asked to exit the vehicle so a search incident to arrest could be conducted on the vehicle.

The right front passenger, was identified as Samuel Sylvester Ross, 19, of Hollywood. During conversation with Ross, he reached into his pants and retrieved a cellophane wrapper containing marijuana.

The right rear passenger was identified asย  Bryan Edward Wettengel, 20, of California. Wettengel advised that he shoved a bag of marijuana between the seat and arm rest.

A vehicle search was conducted. A bag of marijuana was recovered from where Wettengel said it was.

An emptied Fix a Flat can, containing marijuana and a smoking device, also was recovered in the driverโ€™s floor area.

All three was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. They were taken to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
