St. Mary’s County volunteer firefighters spent Tuesday morning battling a vehicle fire in Lexington Park.
Crews from Bay District VFD were dispatched to report of a car fire on Feb. 2 shortly after 9 a.m. in the 46000 block of Gooseneck Drive in the area of Westbury.
Firefighters arrived on the scene to discover a maroon NIssan Maxima fully involved. The driver reported the vehicle was smoking and pulled over and moments later the vehicle was up in flames.
No injuries were reported. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
