
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – Early this morning, at 3:27 a.m. Company 2 was called for a serious accident on Route 4 southbound just prior to Sixes Road.
Crews located a single vehicle off the road, into the woods and on its roof. One patient was trapped inside. The crew from Squad 2 stabilized the vehicle and removed a side wall to gain access to the injured person.
Squad 7 (St. Leonard) assisted with removing the patient and helping to create access to the hard surface, mainly by removing brush and trees.
Chief-2 (Gray) held the Prince Frederick Command. The patient was flown to an area trauma center and the crew from Engine 22 assisted with the landing site.
