At 4:08 a.m. Feb. 8, Dion Robert Butler, 22, of Lexington Park, was arrested for DUI, driving while suspended and possession of marijuana.
Tpr. M. Adams observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Cadillac Jacks. Butler was in the driver’s seat slumped against the center console.
Police say Butler had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. During the course of the investigation, a MVA check revealed his driving privileges were suspended.
As Butler was exiting the vehicle, the Trooper observed a baggie of Marijuana in plain view on Butler’s person fall to the ground.
A search of the vehicle incident to the arrest revealed a second baggie of Marijuana and a partially burnt marijuana cigar located in the vehicle.
Butler was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
