At 1:13 a.m. March 26, TFC T. Quade of the Leonardtown trooper barrack stopped a vehicle for speeding, 55 in a 40 mph zone, on Route 235 at Pegg Road in Lexington Park.

During conversation with the driver, Clinton Antonis Robinson Jr., 19, of Mechanicsville, a bottle of liquor was observed sticking partially out of a brown bag. An odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected emitting from Robinsonโ€™s breath.

Prior to attempting the field sobriety tests, a pat down for officer safety was conducted. Located in Robinsonโ€™s coat pocket was a bag of marijuana.

Robinson performed the sobriety tests sufficiently however, he was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

The passenger, Glenn Rodney Battle, 19, of Mechanicsville, was asked to exit the vehicle so a vehicle search could be conducted. When exiting Battle advised he had a bag of marijuana in his coat pocket. The bag was recovered. Battle was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana. No additional CDS was located in the vehicle.

Robinson and Battle were taken to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
