Dep. Edwin A. Bradley responded to the area of Md. Rt. 4 and Patuxent Point Parkway in Solomons on February 3 at 3:28 a.m. to assist DFC Elvis Carter conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that was being driven erratically.
The vehicle finally stopped on H.G. Trueman Road. Contact with the driver, identified as Steven P. Yates, 56 of Loveville, revealed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. A search of the vehicle incident to arrest revealed suspected cocaine and marijuana.
Yates was arrested and charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license, and possession of cocaine and marijuana.
