On July 25 at 11 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers attempted to stop three motorcycles near Budds Creek Road and Penns Hill Road in Newburg.
The driver of one of the motorcycles stopped but the other motorcycles fled. The drivers of those motorcycles, George Thompson, 39 of Newburg, and Roger Lee Thompson, 22 of Newburg, were apprehended a short distance away.
Both were arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Officer S. Stanley investigated.
