At approximately 11:40 a.m. March 4, two men robbed the BB&T Bank located on Southern Maryland Blvd in Dunkirk for an undisclosed amount of cash.
Officers from the Calvert County Sheriffโs Office and Prince Frederick trooper barrack red and learned two unknown suspects entered the bank and displayed weapons.
They immediately took control of the bank employees and forced them into the bank vault. None of the bank personnel were injured.
The suspects took an undetermined amount of cash from the teller drawers and the ATM.
The suspects left the scene in a white Ford F250 van. The van was recovered a short distance away at the construction site located at Plaza Drive in Dunkirk.
The suspects abandoned the van which was stolen from Lanham, Prince Georgeโs County and left in an unknown vehicle.
The suspects are described as two African American males. The first subject is described as late 20s or early 30s approximately 6-foot tall weighing approximately 170 -200 lbs, wearing dark clothing, black ski mask, and sunglasses.
The second man is described late 20s or early 30s approximately 6โ2โ tall weighing approximately 220 – 250 lbs, wearing dark clothing, black ski mask, and sunglasses.
