Halloween is a scary and dangerous time. And Iโm not just talking about your co-workerโs risquรฉ costume. Itโs a time when the spirits come out โ in every sense of the word.
Tonight many of you will don your sexy, scary, or perhaps down-right strange costumes and head to a Halloween bash. It might be at the local bar for a costume contest, a friendโs house, or perhaps a party thrown by your risquรฉ colleague. Most likely, given the lack of public transportation in the area, it will involve a drive.
Please remember to designate a driver at the beginning of your evening. If you see someone who shouldnโt be driving at the end of the night, call them a cab. Most of Southern Maryland now has a Tipsy Taxi program, which provides a free taxi home so the tipsy donโt have to drive. Your bartender will be able to tell you about it.
Remember Halloween is also for the children. Youngsters will be out Trick or Treating in your neighborhoods, quite possibly in dark costumes, so itโs even more important to drive carefully.
Enjoy your tricks and treats, and stay safe. Please drive sober.
Happy Halloween from The Bay Net!
