In honor of their sacrifice, service, and strength, the Circuit Court for Prince Georgeโ€™s County celebrated the courageous veterans of Prince Georgeโ€™s County during its Eighth Annual Veterans Appreciation Ceremony and Muster. The ceremony was held on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. at the Circuit Court for Prince Georgeโ€™s County.

โ€œThe Veterans Appreciation Ceremony and Muster is a very special event at the Circuit Court for Prince Georgeโ€™s County,โ€ said the Honorable Sheila R. Tillerson Adams, Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court for Prince Georgeโ€™s County. โ€œBeing able to recognize our veterans represents just a small token of appreciation for all theyโ€™ve done for the citizens of our County, our State, our Nation and beyond. Moreover, the camaraderie and fellowship between the attendees were heartwarming and a true reminder of their selfless act to keep us safe. Iโ€™m forever grateful to their service to our Country. Additionally, I would like to thank the Honorable C. Philip Nichols, Jr., Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit, for spearheading the ceremony for the past eight years and his dedication to the veterans of Prince Georgeโ€™s County.โ€

This yearโ€™s theme was Honoring All Who Served. Lieutenant General Arthur J. Gregg, who retired from the United States Army in August 1981 after serving more than 35 years, provided the keynote address. Attendees included Judges, elected officials, invited guests and veterans from the community.
