LUSBY, Md. – A Lusby home is destroyed after an accidental electrical fire caused an estimated $230,000 worth damage, Wednesday, May 9.
Around 2:00 p.m., member of the Solomons VFD noticed smoke in the area and found a two-story, working house fire located on the 600 block of San Juan Court, Lusby. Additional firefighters responded and worked steadily to have the scene under control in 30 minutes.
Investigation revealed that the fire was caused by an accidental electrical event originating in the 2nd floor of the home. No one was home at the time of the fire. The owner is being assisted by family and the American Red Cross.
