Eric Shaun Lynch, better known as Eric the Midget and later Eric the Actor, was a member of The Howard Stern Show’s Wack Pack. Lynch was 3 ft 0 in (0.91 m) tall, weighed 85 lb (39 kg), and used a motorized wheelchair, in addition to various other afflictions. Despite his poor health he claimed to have outlived every doctor’s prediction for his life expectancy.
On September 18, 2014, Lynch began to suffer from “normal” stomach problems. His caretaker Jon suggested the following evening that he see a doctor after showing no signs of improvement, which Lynch turned down. On the morning of September 20, Lynch woke up saying that he felt “unstable”, prompting Jon to call an ambulance. When the ambulance arrived, paramedics discovered that Lynch had low blood pressure and took him to the hospital. After arriving, Lynch’s liver and kidneys began to shut down and he passed away at around 3:15 PM.
On September 21, Lynch’s longtime friend and manager Johnny Fratto became the first to report his death. Fratto tweeted “I am so sorry and so sad to inform everyone that my friend Eric “The Actor” Lynch passed away yesterday afternoon!!!
