
Chesapeake Beach, MD โ Calvert County Sheriff Mike Evans, who is seeking a fourth consecutive term in the upcoming General Election, met with a group of citizens at a residence overlooking the Chesapeake Bay Thursday evening, Oct. 2.
The meet and greet was sponsored by Calvert County resident Sonia K. Wagner. The sheriff was accompanied by his wife, Susan and the assistant sheriff, Major Dave McDowell.
Evans, a Republican, answered residentsโ questions about the role of the sheriffโs department in public safety, including safety in Calvertโs public schools.
The General Election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4 at the 23 voting precincts countywide from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. with early voting taking place Thursday, Oct. 23 through Thursday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the county election office, 30 Duke Street Prince Frederick.
