CALLAWAY, Md. – On November 4, 2020 at approximately 6:00 p.m. first responders from Second District Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad and Bay District Volunteer Fire Department as well as Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad responded to a rear-end style motor vehicle collision reported on (RT 5) Point Lookout Road at Piney Point Road in Callaway.
Reported to be involving a motorcycle initially. St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s deputies arrived first on the scene and found two vehicles involved in the accident with no motorcycle involved.
One person was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the accident.
