Charles County Sheriff’s Officer J. Garner responded to a residence under construction in the 3400 block of Halford Street in La Plata at 9:15 a.m. March 25 for the report of a burglary.
An investigation revealed suspects forced entry into the residence through a rear sliding glass door sometime after 5 p.m. March 24. After removing the front door hinges and backing a vehicle up to the front door, the suspects stole several stainless steel kitchen appliances, loaded the stolen property onto the vehicle and fled the scene.
