California, Md — (Update) 1:33 p.m. – At approximately 10:30 a.m., St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to the 23000 block of Marshall Road in Lexington Park for the report of a tree falling on a victim causing death. The Criminal Investigations Division is continuing the investigation and additional details will be released as they become available.
10:59 a.m. – A man was killed after a tree he was cutting in the Town Creek subdivision fell on him. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death.
