Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum in St. Leonard was the venue of Calvert County’s 28th annual Children’s Day on the Farm.
The skies were periodically overcast, but that didn’t deter families from bringing children of all ages to pet barnyard animals, participate in hands-on activities, enjoy live music and a puppet show and take a wagon ride around the riverside facility’s grounds. Farm equipment was on display. A tractor parade was held during the early afternoon hours.
Entertainment included Ken the Magician, the Blue Sky Puppets, Rainbow Rock, the Old MacDonald Show, Lauren and Sean, and the ubiquitous and talented David Norris.
The event was free. Children’s Day on the Farm is supported financially by the Friends of Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum, and the Calvert County Commissioners.
