Waldorf, MD—Charles County celebrated the Halloween season early this year, with FallFest at Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf. The event was held Saturday, Oct. 24.
This year’s event had many different fun interactive activities for children and adults alike. The trick-or-treat trail was a huge hit with the kids. Each vendor selling products at the event had the opportunity to pass out candy to the children.
Live entertainment was provided by the Sara Gray Band. The band played from noon to 2:30 p.m. There was also a balloon animal specialist who goes by the name of the Balloon Nerd was providing unique balloon animals for children.
An area that usually is the infield for the BlueCrabs baseball team was redesigned as a family fun zone. This family fun zone consisted of a kiddie carousel, candy play land, and a BMX slide.
In attendance, passing out candy to the children, was Charles County Commissioner President Peter Murphy. Murphy was delighted to see some many families in attendance at this family friendly event.
“It is really important that we have a presents with the families in Charles County. It has been a good morning so far, a lot of kids have stopped by. I think it does the community good to see us out here,” said Murphy.
