BOWIE, Md. – The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday morning in Bowie. The deceased driver is 56-year-old Ronald Winbush of Mitchellville.
On April 1, 2021, at approximately 9:00 am, patrol officers were called to the 900 block of Enterprise Road for a collision involving two vehicles.
The preliminary investigation revealed the victim, an adult male, was heading northbound on Enterprise Road. Another vehicle was traveling southbound on Enterprise Road, when for reasons that are under investigation, crossed into the northbound lanes and struck the victim’s vehicle head-on. He was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the striking vehicle suffered what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.
