On May 25 at 11:41 p.m., Lewis Oscar Moon, 65 of La Plata, was driving north in the 900 block of Washington Avenue in La Plata when he drifted off the roadway and struck a telephone pole, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Moon was transported to a nearby hospital where he died a short time later.
Officer S. Stanley of the Traffic Operations Unit is handling the investigation.
