Washington, DC – President Donald Trump announced Friday afternoon, Jan. 25 that after 35 days the federal government will reopen. The agreement among Democrats and Republicans reopens the government for three weeks.

Trump is seeking security measures at the U.S.-Mexican border. “If we donโ€™t get a fair deal from Congress, the government will either shutdown on February 15th againโ€”or I will use the powers afforded to me under the laws and the Constitution of the United States to address this emergency,โ€ the president stated. โ€œWe will have great security.”
